. . . And life is pain, and life is suffering, and life is horror, but my god you're alive and it's spectacular.

Marcille has gone through a multitude of aesthetics. In her youth, she donned the simple clothing of a tall-man farmer. Then, she eased into her Elven identity, and took to their short and flowing garments. In the dungeon, there was no place for anything but sturdy clothing. Then, in the Golden Lions arms, she was coated with clothing that was dark and brooding.Oftentimes, Marcille wears the clothing of the past - the far past, when she still lived in the Northern Continent. Clothing her mother once wore. Dresses with puffed sleeves and ankle-length skirts. Dark colors that make her hay colored hair shine. Perhaps this style is too mature for her young age, but still! One needs to look professional when ruling the country.

"Desire".
How many did she lose? Things as simple as taking care of her hair, to things as complex as losing fear. One does not typically long to be fearful, especially in Marcille's case. Once she was constantly riddled with anxiety, with the fear of social rejection. Now? Her habit of speaking out of turn has become far worse. If allowed, she speaks endlessly about the things on her mind.
A part of Marcille still remains - the calm and resolute leader, someone who once ruled alongside the King. It's obvious that Marcille knows plenty - if not for her long lifespan, then due to her extensive research she has devoted her life to. She's head strong despite her recent seclusion. When things on the island threaten to change or become overthrown, the golden elf appears in a raging fire. Perhaps, it is best not to get on her bad side.

The Golden Kingdom once lived up to its name. It shone bright with food, and once, Marcille's golden hair had fit right in. Being the King's hand was no easy task. From Laios' obvious difficulty with talking to political leaders, wishing to escape from the Kings role, and constantly maintaining contact with the Canaries, Marcille often felt overwhelmed. It was not horrible, in the first few years. In addition to Laios' good spirits, both Kabru and Falin remained by her side. Kabru was level-headed, and despite his occasionally odd demeanor, was a reliant person. Falin was always there to soothe her brothers moods - but was almost a bad influence on his longing heart. She should have seen it coming. The longing glances towards the Dwarven style dungeons. Each monster sighting abroad. His obbession of Falin's adventures, the way he clung to Senshi's rare food, and his barter with Itzumi. Of course, she knew how important monsters were to Laios; and with how he had given so much of himself up in order to save everyone, how could she blame him? It's not as if she didn't miss the dungeon, either. Or the feelings the Golden Lion had stolen from her. Laios had lost his ability to meet monsters - yet Marcille had retained that aching desire within her heart."To live for a thousand years, peacefully and surrounded by friends."The Golden Lion had given something to Laios, or Laios had taken something from the Golden Lion. What he ate, he never quite said. It remained a mystery until the very day the Kingdom started changing. It was subtle, at first, hallways becoming longer, items magically appearing when needing. All odd, but hardly noticeable. Then the library sunk in on itself, swallowing Marcille's research to a place she could no longer see. Karma, of sorts, for not giving up her pursuit of extended life.Between foreign exchange meetings, endless political debates, and the eventual down turn of Melini, Marcille endlessly studied the old dungeons "immortality spell". It turns out Mr. Tansu's extensive research was more than helpful. By decrypting the old runes, secrets unfolded themselves bit by bit. If one could live for an eternity, would they not spend their time more freely? Why waste time on pursuing land and starting wars? With Laios' mentality gone, and her friend group quickly dispersing over the years, Marcille turned to her one truth. Deluded herself in it.She allows Laios to become something he wasn't... this was her fault, was it not? The Canaries returned to the island upon her request, and have begun the investigation of the new dungeon. Though she could not admit her continued research of life lengthening, she has been tasked with rewriting the events that occurred before the dungeons' creation. Currently, She lives on the Eastern end of the island, secluded and alone. It is still her job to lead the island; and still, the Canaries have fully established themselves in the port, the island mayor does his best to be more than a figurehead, and new advisors constantly enter the island. How could she be anything more than a foolish girl?
